The school was created when a group of concerned parents wanted an alternative to public education, rot learning, overcrowded classrooms and a safe space for their children to feel proud of their Muslim identity.
They envisioned an eclectic approach to teaching which included many teaching styles like Montessori, Waldorf, Holistic and Traditional methods. The teachers would design lessons that catered to each child’s needs and strived to create an environment where children feel a sense of belonging, love, and community.
ICS is operating as a full-time school serving Preschool through Elementary School, and in addition to Sixth Grade.
